Position Overview:

The Sales Executive, also known as an IBM consultant, provides comments, evaluation, consulting advice and guidance to end-users. A consultant also identifes offerings and solutions that satisfy business needs, establishes requirements to justify cost and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and may also set criteria for test and evaluation for identifed offerings and solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing sales strategies and understanding the technical aspects of the sales environment.

  • Provide pre- and post- sales support, drive the technical sales agenda and assure prospects and customers have the right technical solutions to meet their needs.

  • Determine Customer requirements, influence evaluation criteria, set customer expectations, conduct demonstrations and evaluations and manage the delivery of solution(s).

Systems Engineer (Gainesville Territory)

 

Position Overview:

The The Systems Engineer will provide systems implementation and administration for the following environments: Windows, VMware, Netapp, and Networking. In addition and over time, the Systems Engineer will gain knowledge of pre-sales and post-sales activities associated with the following products and services: IBM System Storage, IBM System x, IBM Power Systems, and IBM Tivoli software. The Engineer will perform on-site and remote technical support, including workshops, system/software installations, system/software configuration validation, problem analysis and troubleshooting. This position will support and perform the installation, configuration, customization and diagnostics of systems, drivers, peripherals, operation systems and network communications. The Engineer will focus on hosted and managed services involving data replication and backup services.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • 3-5 years experience in technical environment

  • Must be technically oriented with advanced experience in Windows, VMware, Netapp, and Networking.

    • Must have an advanced understanding of infrastructure architectures and network topologies.

    • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently with minimal supervision and as proactive team member.

    • VMWare experience and certifications a plus

    • MS Windows experience and certifications a plus

    • Must have an advanced understanding of infrastructure architectures and network topologies.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to work well both independently with minimal supervision and as proactive team member.

    • Must be detail-oriented, capable of providing technical leadership while ensuring quality results.
    • Must be willing and able to travel (in state) as required to perform services.
    • A self-starter, comfortable in a start-up environment.

    • Constantly keeping abreast of changes in technology and sharing with customers and colleagues.
    • IBM pre-sales consulting a plus.

    • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and/or experience.
